Karen Bull

Karen Bull Morales is a Chilean professional chef born in Santa Cruz, Chile in 1991, and one of the founders of Flour Power Craft Pizza in Colorado, USA. Raised in a family where food was at the center of life, her family owns a bakery in Santa Cruz. Karen developed an early passion for baking, artisan techniques, and real, honest ingredients.

After becoming a professional chef, Karen refined her craft working at Fuegos de Apalta, the renowned Francis Mallmann restaurant in Chile, where she learned the philosophy of cooking with fire, using high-quality ingredients, and making everything from scratch with intention and simplicity.

In December 2018, Karen moved to Colorado after receiving a job offer in the hospitality industry. She quickly fell in love with the mountains, the outdoor lifestyle, and the community. During this time, she met her husband Isaac, and together they built a life in Colorado and later got married.

Karen continued working in the culinary industry across the Vail Valley, gaining extensive experience in high-end kitchens. However, her entrepreneurial spirit pushed her to create something of her own. She identified a gap in the market for cold-fermented Neapolitan-style pizza dough made with high-quality Italian flour and began experimenting with recipes.

She dedicated herself fully to mastering dough fermentation, studying pizza-making techniques, taking specialized courses, and hosting pizza parties for friends to test and refine her recipes. After a full winter in 2023 of intense development she finally perfected her signature dough.

That same year, Karen and Isaac launched their business and held the first official Flour Power event on June 24th, 2023, marking the beginning of her journey in catering pizza party events and pop ups.

Isaac Schnitzer

Born and raised in Berkeley California , Isaac always had a for cooking great food. Being in an epicenter of fresh food only fueled that passion in later years. He was front and center growing up in the farm to table movement, Chez Paneese was just down the hill from his Berkeley home. Alice Waters was a regular at his mother’s favorite breakfast spot, Cafe Fanny and he often joked with cooks at the counter of Betty’s Dinner just down the street from his preschool. The cooks name was Isaac, and he watched him cook pancakes and flip burgers then trying to replicate the plate size pancakes at home in pans that were far too small.

After attending college at UC Santa Cruz he moved to Colorado and shortly thereafter worked days on Beaver Creek and Nights at local Joes making pizzas. He left the mountain work (but not the mountain, Isaac is an avid Backcountry skier with 100 day winters an all too common occurrence) to purse his culinary career and over the next decade work for Vista at Arrowhead, Maya, and Harvest under Kelly Liken. It was there Isaac met the Love of his life and future business partner Karen Bull. Their shared love of food boosted their desire to have their own catering company and after getting married during January 2020 they set to work doing Research and Development for what later would become Flour Power Craft Pizza.

After a couple years working in the AV industry they were ready to start the catering business and in June of 2023 they started pop ups and private events for the Vail Valley.
Today you’ll find Isaac biking near his home in Eagle Co with his dog Sunny and his wife Karen. Sunny often joins them in backcountry missions on the splitboards, hikes through our backyard of boundless wilderness, or even paddle boarding on the Colorado River!

Building Flour Power has brought us so much closer to our community in Eagle and Isaac loves serving friends at Colorado Coffee Friday pizza pop ups! He looks forward to the future of the company he runs alongside his wife, Karen, and enjoys learning new techniques and constantly tweaking things to arrive at the perfect Neapolitan pizza!
